a few pictures..

i was horrible about taking pictures over thanksgiving..
but here are a few randoms..

jeremy has been fishing with my brothers just about every week since we got back to idaho
i think he's found a long lost passion
i love that he loves it actually
... i told christopher he looked like an idiot with his hate like this.. but who can stop a kid when he's feelin a lil gangsta ?!
(jared-bil, germ, john-bil, christopher-bro)
the camera died right before j caught this 5-6lb-er..
so he took it on his phone (hence the horrible blurriness)
he got home about 1:30 in the AM, and couldn't help but wake me up and tell me all about his "big fish story"
another passion of his...

a fruit truffle i made for thanksgiving dinner at the Calls
(layers of cubed angel food cake, white chocolate pudding, whip cream, and fruit)

i didn't get one picture of my family on thanksgiving.. even though we were all together.
i know... lame.
but this was a few nights before when a few of us were out for dinner

us call girls..
did some crafts over thanksgiving.
nancy had blocks for us to make a count down craft for christmas. SO cute. SO fun.
and i taught them.. or attempted at least.. to teach them to make flower head bands & broaches

its a ...

GIRL!!!

oh boy.. we couldn't be more excited. except we would have been as excited either way.. its just SO RIDICULOUSLY fun to find out and to know. makes it feel so so REAL.
the tech told us she couldn't "guarantee" the gender at 17 1/2 weeks.. but that she has only been wrong 1 time in 6 years, and that she would "definitely" say its a girl. and after seeing the ultrasound and the pictures.. we are VERY confident
we are having a little girlfriend.
let the shopping begin!

during the ultrasound we saw HER
*suck on the back of her hand
*cross her feet
*open and close her mouth so wide
*rub her eyes
and heard the heartbeat again

oh my emotions today have been off the charts.
first, i was SO nervous for some reason to go and find out what we were having.. i know that sounds so silly, because we had NO preference with gender, but i think it was just the reality of knowing if WE were going to have a SON or DAUGHTER. just that sentence alone is so overwhelming.. yet the most exciting thing in the world.
so palms sweating, we got there.. and heard her tell us it was a girl, i was beyond excited.. and when i get excited mixed with a little bit of nerves.. i laugh (and if you have heard or seen me laugh.. you know its not a petite/quiet giggle).. so you can imagine the ultrasound techs job at this point.. her hand, the wand, and my stomach rapidly bouncing uncontrollably.. making it impossible to see anything on the ultrasound between my "episodes". out of control. one of the greatest experiences of my life though.
after, to celebrate, we went to the SANDWICH TREE (Divine! a huge addiction of mine these days)
while we were there, i looked up at jeremy, and something just hit me.. emotion overload! i buried my deformed crying face in his neck and bawled my eyes out
(no, we were not the only ones in the restaurant.. what a treat for those spectators!)
and although many times in my life he has looked at me while i cry for NUMEROUS reasons... sometimes NO reason at all... and i know he wonders what kind of psychotic creature has taken over my face and body...
he didn't this time.
he just understood.
he felt it too.
filled with gratitude, anxiety, excitement, and too many more emotions to put in words about this new stage in our life.
just something that you "feel" together. LOVE those moments.. they don't happen enough between a man and woman do they?!
priceless. something i will never forget.
what a perfect day. one i will always remember and will record so SHE will know how we felt because of HER.
i love my husband, and couldn't feel more grateful to be able to share this life with him, have and raise children with him, and most importantly be with him, our children, and our families for eternity. what a peaceful, comforting feeling.

it was a wonderful thanksgiving.
too blessed and grateful to even put into words.
hope it was the same for all of you.

false alarm

we didn't find out what we were having yesterday.
:(
but did hear the sweet heartbeat and doc said it sounded perfect.. i'm happy with that for now.
but still DYING to know. understatement
stay tuned..
going back in 2 weeks and he promised we'd know "FOR SURE".
i GUESS i'll survive til then..
i could use a lesson of patience anyway.

happy weekend my friends.

Love that sweet girl.
Happy Birthday!

**babe update**
have a mentioned we are so excited.. ecstatic.. thrilled?!?!
this is going to be the longest pregnancy of all time.. yes.. longer than any of yours ;)  ha.. kidding.
but we are just so ready to have our friend here with us and to meet him/her already.
i'm so impatient already.. i know.. not good right.. cuz we still have a LONG TIME.
everyone says to just enjoy the last few months we have as a couple.. and i'm sure we are slightly naive.. but we are so ready to take on this responsibility and to see our family grow.
i can't read enough about this miracle of a process..
the more i am educated about pregnancy and what happens each day/week with our little person, the more i am blow away at how incredible and "not of this world" it truly is.
(i know.. i've joined that group that is pregnant and can't blog without mentioning something about it.. and i'm not gonna lie... that probably won't change... its pretty all-consuming, and i'm in love with it all)
... we have an appointment tomorrow and they are going to try to tell us what we are having ...
ahh.. i haven't been able to sleep for a week thinking about it!!
i'm going to go ape wild if they can't tell us tomorrow..
i'm not sure i could wait even another day!
so stayed tuned and i'll update y'all tomorrow ;)

Jeremy says he's 100% sure its a girl
I'm 100% sure its a boy
and we have absolutely no preference either way..
just feelings we both have..

so.. we'll see who is more spiritually "in tune". ha. can you imagine?!

any guess on what it will be???????

the holiday fever and weather is in the air isn't it?! oh.. there is NOTHING like this time of year.. LOVE!

cruisin'

Another year of summer sales has come and gone..
can't say i'm ever too sad to say those words.
But I do want to say GREAT JOB to my husband for finishing a GREAT summer, our BEST summer by far.. in SO many ways! Not everyone has it in them to do this job, and do it as well as Jeremy does... so so so proud of him.

He deserves to be bragged about.. and i'll be the woman for the job.

We just got back from a company cruise with NorthStar to the
BAHAMAS!
....ahh....
being there is truly like escaping reality

The whole Northstar crew on formal night.
what a ridiculously fun group!
northstar ROCKED the freakin boat on halloween costume night.
such awesome costumes all round

germ & me
.... aka ....
mr&mrs INCREDIBLE

oh.. but there wasn't just 2...
nothing crazy was about the go down on the fascination carnival ship with us
  6 incredibles on board!
(cassi, caleb, cameron, betty, me, jeremy)

A few of us took a sail boat ride out to snorkel for the day.
Other than my 3-4 x-large gulps of sea water through my snorkel mask..
the tropical critters and the whole experience did not disappoint.
amazing.

oh the water. i could stare all day.
that is the ATLANTIS hotel behind us.. beautiful.
and of coarse the cute towel animals cruises are famous for..
a few girlies on formal night

Cam & Jeremy made betty & I a siamese mermaid fin

we did one side of the egyptian pyramid sand castle.. betty & cam did the other

we had a good 5-6 hour lay over in Atlanta on our way back to Utah..
so we took a cab with meradith and jason to see
"cloudy with a chance of meatballs" in 3D
... lets just say we are glad meradith is still with us after the cab ride back to the airport...
we almost experienced the movie "taken" first hand
glad you're okay girl.. glad you didn't die choking on your water... and glad we didn't wet our pants from laughing so hard.. wouldn't want to contaminate that mr.clean cab seat.

oh good times. lots o' laughs. great friends. fantastic weather. out of this world scenery. mediocre food. raving drunk lunatics. good shows (minus purple rain, "my girl" karaoke guy, and bare bottom dancers)
all in all..
we couldn't have asked for a better time.

**and thank you to ALL my cute cute friends for you're sweet comments. we are just overly excited about our lil one on the way ;)    i can't even talk about it without tearing up a bit...
what a blessing...what an out of this world experience it has been already.

birthday boy

Happy Birthday Germany!
27 years old... you ole toot.

I was looking through pictures today and ran across these treasures..
and realized I've never shared them before.
Before we moved to Indiana Jeremy had one of his sweet/thoughtful moments and had rose petals up the stairs leading to the bathtub with flowers in front of a bubble bath ready just for me! (bubble baths = my obsession)
cute/romantic right?
that's what i thought ...
until he asked to get in with me..
before i could answer him.. he jumps in ...
shirt, shorts, socks and all.
I of coarse fly out of the tub with disgust that his dirty socks were in there with me.. and leaped to grab my camera.
.... when i came in to get a picture of him.. he had proceeded to put shaving cream ALL over his face/body (cloths still on).
to sum it up..
he completely lost his mind.
one of the funniest things i've ever witnessed.

Lil' birthday celebration..
So we've been planning on hitting up the Melting Pot all summer, so no better occasion that germs birthday. Cassi and I both remember not liking the main coarse, so we decided to swing by our beloved TACO BELL  for dinner and then go to the Melting Pot for cheese/dessert.
But after enjoying a chalupa and taco...
the boys looked at the menu at the melting pot, and decided we better try IT ALL.
to say the least..
WE ATE WAY TOO MUCH TONIGHT.
but it was delicious.. and the company was fabulous like always..
thanks for going with us Cassi & Caleb!

(our taco bell run right before melting pot)

hope you had a great day my friend.
happy happy birthday.
i love you.
too much.

our little friend..

the praying mantis...
jeremy caught him and brought him home today and we played with him for a bit.
isn't he so cool?!
the BIGGEST one i have EVER seen for sure.

OTHER than spiders OF ANY KIND...
(most)insects, animals, mammals..etc.. are probably in my top 5 love interests
ANIMAL PLANET
DISCOVERY CHANNEL
PLANET EARTH
... it all just amazes me ...

FUN FACT
(that most of you already probably know..)
Father penguins are the ones that sit on the eggs as they are waiting to hatch as the mothers go out and hunt for food.  Well, in Antarctica when the retched snow storms come in sheets of like 10 feet of snow (sometimes all in one night), the fathers continue to sit on the eggs instead of saving themselves, so are therefore buried alive in the snow. These fathers have a natural instinct to protect there little friends come rain or shine (or snow)... even if it means death.  So when the snow melts there is just literally MILLIONS of father penguins skeletons where they sacrificed their life for their babes.  How sad.. but how cute?  I have to admit they have had that documentary on the animal planet twice, and I watched it just as intently the second time around.. just in awe of those cute, yet stinky little critters. If you haven't seen it.. its worth watching (despite what jeremy would tell you!)

ok..
well we went from praying mantis's to penguins .. pretty much sums up my random mind.
(stay tuned next time for my obsession with dolphins! oh i love! Just to give you the magnitude of my passion.. i cried at the sea world dolphin show.. just a serious sensory overload.. with all the dolphins, trapeze artists, cockatoos all blazing at the same time! You know what i'm talking about!
Then not to mention swimming WITH them on our honeymoon... okay.. i'll stop, or i'll be here all night telling you how they are therapeutic mammals, and therapists honestly do SEND people and REQUEST them to swim with the dolphins as therapy sessions. true story.)

you bored yet?
not me.. my adrenaline is just a rush'n just talkin about this goodness.
Until next time on ... THE "CALL" OF THE WILD....
have a good one & ta ta
